Kylia, our Director of Clinical Innovation, is expecting her third baby and played guinea pig for us and went through the process first hand. Here’s her scoop: “My insurer gave me a list of a few companies I could obtain a pump from. I was familiar with the Edgepark name, so I started there. I popped over to their website where I was able to plug in just a few details, including my due date, insurance information and address. Quick and painless. From there, I was able select the pump I wanted from one of their offerings and appreciated that I had quite a few to choose from: Medela, Ameda, TOMY, Spectra, Nature’s Bond and Freemie. I couldn’t believe it, but that was all the effort on my part and my order for a pump was in the works. Only a few days later, the pump appeared on my doorstep. Really, the entire process, from start to finish, was that simple. I had to sign and return a form that was included with the pump, but that was it. Now, if only everything about having three children could be this easy… wink, wink!”
We think it’s outstanding that Edgepark handles contacting both your health insurance provider and doctor on your behalf, so you don’t need to deal with all that crazy back and forth. And, your pump is literally delivered to your doorstep, so one less trip to a store for you. Focus your time and attention on other things, because goodness knows you have plenty else going on right now!
